Description

This is the first in a series of paintings I am doing where I take a character (or characters) from the Magic Kingdom and turn them into a fantasy piece.

By that, I don't mean by trying to just take a character like Mickey and make him look kinda twisted....

My goal is only to take the very basic characteristics, put them on a brainstorm list, and forget about the fact that I am doing said character.

In Mickey's case, I thought about his white gloves, his black body and flesh colored face, his ears, and his red trousers. Some of those characteristics are pretty obvious, but the intestines are meant to symbolize the trousers.

As for Pluto, he doesn't have to many characteristics, so only his black ears, head bump, and loyalty to Mickey remained.

You get the idea, though.....

Next in line, Ariel and friends.

I DO have some ideas, but the only tool I`m using to draw such 'things' is pencil&paper :(

I might do a progression page for Ariel, which would be about the closest thing to a tutorial I could get. Sound good? :)

Actually yes....I have many planned. I would like to do at least 10 characters as sort of make it a set.

Right now, I am so busy with freelance that it is taking a while for personal work to be made. 2003 I will be able to get back on track....thanks for enjoying this piece, everyone!
