Description

This is the album cover for Bloodbath's latest EP, "Unblessing the Purity".

This cover was created as part of a contest by the band (www.bloodbath.biz) seeking fans to do their cover for the new self-financed EP. I'm a huge fan of Bloodbath, so being an unpaid work did not bother me in the least bit. If anything it got me out of the rut I was in because it forced me to get some painting done.

The concept for the piece is entirely the bands.

I really like the background Image, but truth be told, the text in the foreground puts me off. It´s way too saturated, and it´s probably lowering the background impact.
You could lower it´s tone a little, or strenghten the wolfpriest eyes to compensate a bit.
Anyways, it´s pretty cool.

I hear ya...but that's not something I had any control over. Graphic design elements were not done by me.

I do think the logo pops against the artwork though, and it really is about the band, so I can see why they chose a more saturated approach for their logo.
